  • All courses purchased include HLTAID009 – CPR.
  • Course access is available for 42 days (6 weeks) from the date of purchase.
  • To successfully complete any course users are required to pass a practical and theoretical component. Though both elements are included within course pricing, the First Aid Alive office must be contacted to arrange an agreed time for practical assessment.

Course Code: HLTAID012

Objective: To equip participants with the theoretical knowledge and practical application to competently administer emergency first aid, as well as the treatment of other illnesses and injuries in accordance with the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) Guidelines.

Assessment: Emergency First Aid Response for Education and Care Setting has both practical and theoretical elements, where participants demonstrate procedures of techniques used and exhibit the necessary knowledge on administering First Aid in accordance with the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) Guidelines and the Health Training Package. Alternative assessments can be made (eg. Oral) if required.

Length: This course can be conducted in one of two ways at the discretion of the client:

  • A one day course
  • A short course covering all practical components with theory assessment covered in a workbook

Validity: The Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) recommends that ‘HLTAID012 – Provide Emergency First Aid response for Education and Care Setting’ be renewed every 3 years.
